Blackhawks GM Stan Bowman wants to bring back Andrew Desjardins, Marcus Kruger

Chicago Blackhawks general manager said he’d love to bring Andrew Desjardins and Marcus Kruger back next year when he met with reporters Wednesday for the end-of-season press conference.

Desjardins, 28, was traded in exchange for Ben Smith and a conditional seventh-round pick to the San Jose Sharks in March. Desjardins was on a $750,000 expiring contract. He recorded two assists in 13 regular-season games and a goal and three assists in 21 postseason games as he won his first Stanley Cup.

Kruger, 25, scored 17 points (seven goals, 10 assists) in 81 regular-season games and adde two goals and two assists in 23 postseason games in 2015. He is a member of both the 2013 and 2015 Cup-winning teams.
