Morning Bag Skate: Blackhawks ready to turn page in February

Super Bowl Sunday was fun but it’s back to focusing on hockey even though the ‘Hawks don’t play until tomorrow. We’ll have to tide ourselves over until then, so here’s the news:

**After a frustrating January, the Blackhawks are ready to move on in February. (CSN Chicago)

**As Scott Powers points out, the ‘Hawks could use some more balanced scoring, as nice as it is to have the likes of Patrick Kane and Brandon Saad kicking ass. (ESPN Chicago)

**Mike Richards declined the Kings‘ offer to join the team when it visits the White House on Monday. (L.A. Kings Insider)

**This might be the end for Evgeni Nabokov, who was waived by the Lightning over the weekend. If he clears and gets sent to the AHL, it’s possible he doesn’t report and calls it quits. (PHT)

**Alex Ovechkin became the fifth player in NHL history to score 30-plus goals in each of his first 10 seasons. (NHL.com)

**Assistant GM Rob Blake doesn’t have any plans to leave the Kings despite rumors of interest from the Maple Leafs (Sportsnet)

**Stray stick getting stuck in a referee’s visor, that’s a new one. (SB Nation)

**Ryan Suter’s iron man streak with the Wild is still alive after rumblings he might miss a game due to injury (PHT)
