Corey Crawford will make his 250th start of his career and the Chicago Blackhawks will look for their third consecutive win when they host the Detroit Red Wings on Wednesday night at the United Center.
Chicago has claimed eight of the past 10 meetings against Detroit, but the Red Wings have won two of the last three. The Blackhakws sit in third-place in the Central Division behind second-place St. Louis and Nashville.
In the previous meeting between the two teams, Patrick Kane scored the lone Chicago goal in a 4-1 loss before the Blackhawks giving up three Detroit unanswered goals at Joe Louis Arena.
Special teams will play a large role as Detroit boast the best power-play in the NHL with seven goals in the last six games, while Chicago has the top-ranked penalty kill allowing just one goal in their last eight.
Crawford holds an astonishing 12-3-3 record with a 1.95 goals-against average in the series.

Opponent Breakdown: Detroit Red Wings
Detroit is ended in the opposition direction, dropping their last three games. The Red Wings fell to 0-2-1 with Monday’s 2-0 loss against Montreal, who sit six points ahed of third-place Detroit in the Atlantic Division. Tampa Bay leads the division by four points.
Jimmy Howard stopped 27-of-28 shots Monday in his just second start since returning from a groin injury. Howard could make a third straight start, he is 5-8-5 with a 2.76 goals-against average in 19 games against Chicago.
No surprise here as Henrik Zetterberg leads the Red Wings with 34 assists and 49 points. The 34-year-old bearded wonder has tallied 13 points in last 11 games, including a hat trick on Jan. 18 against lowly Buffalo. Right behind Zetterberg is Pavel Datsyuk, who has 17 goals and 25 assists.
The Red Wings are 14-9-3 on the road this season.
