Blackhawks vs Stars game preview 2017: Chicago seeks 4th straight win this season against Dallas

The Chicago Blackhawks look to build their seventh winning streak of the season, as they faceoff against the Dallas Stars this season in the third game of a six-game road trip.

Both teams are fresh off 4-3 results Thursday.

The Hawks (31-17-5) are now 13-10-1 on the road this season after a victory in Arizona. They sit four points back of the Minnesota Wild for the Central Division lead.

Chicago’s power play broke out of a slump against the Coyotes, going 2-for-4 with Patrick Kane and Marian Hossa finding the back of the net. Hossa has three goals in his last six games since going scoreless in his previous 10 outings.

Corey Crawford is expected to start in net for Chicago.

Dallas, however, wraps up a six-game homestand. Thursday’s loss to Winnipeg also saw center Jason Spezza, who left in the third period after a hit by Adam Lowry. Spezza is out for at least two weeks. He was skating on the top line alongside Jamie Benn and Patrick Eaves. Benn and Eaves have four and three goals, respectively, in their last five games.

Kari Lehtonen is expected to start for Dallas.

Dallas is 14-8-6 at home this season, but have yet to defeat the Hawks this season. Chicago won 3-2 on Nov. 5 in Dallas, and captured two wins at United Center by scoring at least three goals.
