Number Munchers: Reviewing yet another dreadful season of Blackhawks hockey

So, the 2023-24 Chicago Blackhawks were not a good hockey team. This is not a surprise to anyone who visits this site or watches this team or caught a glimpse of the NHL standings at virtually any point of the season.

Most team-based statistics back this up, too. They finished 31st overall in the league standings, ranked dead last with 2.17 goals scored per game and 29th in the league with 3.52 goals allowed per game. The power play was ranked 28th at 16.60 percent and the penalty kill was 27th at 75.76 percent.
