Top of the Lottery Prospects: Introducing Artyom Levshunov

With the Blackhawks currently sitting dead last in the entire league (based on points percentage) and just 19 games remaining, it’s all but guaranteed they’ll be picking somewhere in the top five of the 2024 NHL Draft in Las Vegas this summer.

With not much to look forward to (outside of a Frank Nazar call up) during the month-and-a-half death march until April 18, it feels like as good a time as any to introduce some of the prospects that will be available at the very top of the upcoming draft.

Artyom Levshunov is an 18-year-old, 6-foot-2, 210-pound right-shot defenseman from Belarus who’s currently in his first season at Michigan State. In a draft that appears to be loaded with high-end defensive prospects, Levshunov is typically considered to be the best, with some pundits even going so far as to rank him as the second-best prospect overall behind Macklin Celebrini.
