Blackhawks star Patrick Kane ranked 6th-best player in ‘NHL 20’

Blackhawks star winger Patrick Kane is the sixth-best player in the NHL, according to his 91 overall rating in EA Sports’ “NHL 20” video game. EA Sports released his rating as part of its annual ratings reveal countdown for the top 50 players prior to the game’s Sept. 13 release on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Kane along with defensemen Victor Hedman (Lightning) and Drew Doughty (Kings) and goaltenders Andrei Vasilevskiy (Lightning) and Carey Price (Canadiens) have 91 overall ratings. Connor McDavid (Oilers) was the top-rated player once again with a 94 ahead of Sidney Crosby (Penguins) at 93. Nikita Kucherov (Lightning) and Alex Ovechkin (Capitals) both have a 93.

Kane recorded career highs in assists (66) and points (110) this past season. His 44 goals were two shy of his career high set during the 2015-16 season. He was the eighth-best player in “NHL 19” with a 91 rating.

Center Jonathan Toews was the only other Blackhawks player to crack the top 50 player list with an 88 overall rating for 42nd place. Toews posted career highs in goals (35), assists (46) and points (81) this past season. Toews was 50th in last year’s game with his 87 overall rating.
