World Junior Prospect Recap: Team USA Wins Gold

For the second straight time at the World Juniors, the Blackhawks had four prospects in the final – last year no one knew Connor Bedard would end up in Chicago just yet — and for the second straight year, those four prospects emerged victorious.

Team USA won the gold on Friday after defeating Team Sweden by a final score of 6-2. Forwards Frank Nazar, Oliver Moore, and Gavin Hayes, as well as defenseman Sam Rinzel, will all come home with a gold medal after helping Team USA secure their sixth championship in tournament history.

The Blackhawks sent six prospects to the tournament in total as both goaltender Adam Gajan and forward Martin Misiak represented Slovakia, who were eliminated by Finland in the quarterfinals after a strong start.
