The Blackhawks honored former forward Dave Bolland with a “One More Shift” ceremony Friday at the United Center.
Bolland joined the team on the ice during the playing of the “Star-Spangled Banner” after the starting lineup was announced, and skated on the ice in full gear. The team also played highlights from his career, including his 2013 Stanley Cup-clinching goal.

Chicago drafted Bolland with the 32nd overall pick in the second round of the 2004 NHL draft and he spent 10 seasons of his NHL career with the Blackhawks. He helped the franchise win the Stanley Cup in 2010 and 2013, recording 16 points (eight goals, eight assists) in all 22 playoff games in 2010 and six points (three goals, three assists) in 18 playoff outings in 2013.
Bolland is the first player the Blackhawks have honored this season with “One More Shift.” The team will honor, at least, three more players during their 10-year anniversary nights to commemorate the 2010 Cup team: Nov. 21 vs. Lightning, Dec. 15 vs. Wild and Jan. 7 vs. Flames. Chicago will wrap up its anniversary nights March 19 against the Wild with several members of the 2010 team taking the ice for a pregame ceremony.
