Jonathan Toews kicks off charity fundraiser for the Kitchen Community

Jonathan Toews is a nerd about many things. One of those things is food. It makes perfect sense for him, though; he’s a top-performing athlete, so he really has to take care of his body, and what he puts into it is a large part of that.

So of course he gardens.

What’s truly awesome about that, though, is he’s taken his love of gardening and applied it to the Kitchen Community, a group that works to bring gardening to kids in schools and teach them about exactly the kind of stuff Toews is a nerd about.

This sounds like the perfect fit, so of course there’s a charitable aspect to it.
