Pekka Rinne made 29 saves, and Viktor Arvidsson scored a first-period goal to give the Predators a 1-0 win against the Blackhawks in Game 1 of the Western Conference quarterfinals Thursday at United Center.
Game 2 of the best-of-seven series is at 6 p.m. Saturday in Chicago.
In Hawks prospect news, Alex DeBrincat had an assist in Erie’s 4-2 loss to London in Game 4. The series is now tied 2-2 with Game 5 on Saturday in Erie.
