The Chicago Blackhawks clinched their seventh consecutive playoff berth with a 3-1 win over the Vancouver Canucks on Thursday at the United Center. The win also marked their third straight victory. Five days ago, the Hawks were in a wild-card spot and now instead of fighting to get into the playoffs they will be chasing the Nashville Predators for the Central Division title.
