Morning Bag Skate: 7-4-19

There was no news on the Blackhawks’ front Wednesday.

Elsewhere in Chicago sports, C.J. Sapong scored two goals in the Fire’s 5-1 rout of Atlanta United at SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview. The White Sox swept a doubleheader against the Tigers with a 7-5 win in Dylan Cease debut in the opener then Jose Abreau hit a three-run homer in the 12th inning for a 9-6 victory. The Cubs gave up two runs in the ninth inning for a 6-5 loss to the Pirates.

On Thursday, the Cubs and White Sox both play.
