Morning Bag Skate: No panic button for Blackhawks

The Blackhawks have an opportunity to bounce back from their horrible weekend tonight when they take on the Florida Panthers. It’ll be a big game for the ‘Hawks, especially having been outscored 10-3 in their last 2. A win will be huge in sparking a hopeful turnaround; a loss will only make this free fall seem like it has a ways more to go. We’ll have more on that later, though. For now, here’s today’s Skate:

**The Blackhawks are reportedly interest in Curtis Glencross and Andrej Sekera. We looked at what it might take to bring one – or both – to Chicago. (SCH)

**Defenseman Johnny Oduya to miss “a couple weeks” with an upper body injury after taking a hit from Milan Lucic in Sunday’s game. (SCH)

**The recent string of struggles has rocked the Blackhawks confidence a bit, but they’re still not reaching for a panic button. (Tribune)

**The ‘Hawks are known for being able to struggle or coast at times, and then flip a switch and go back to being that dominant team they’re known to be. But if they’re gonna flip that switch, they better do it soon. (Sun Times)

**Teuvo Teravainen was disappointed to be sent to Rockford, understandably. But he’s maintaining a positive outlook. (Third Man In)

**Bruins center David Krejci will miss 4-6 weeks with a torn MCL. (Bruins)

**After an encouraging start, the number of season ticket deposits for a potential Las Vegas expansion team is not progressing at an encouraging rate. (Puck Daddy)

**The Blue Jackets are repotedly shopping former Blackhawks defenseman James Wisniewski. (SB Nation)

**Canucks goaler Ryan Miller is also set to miss 4–6 weeks, following a collision with teammate Jannik Hansen. (SB Nation)
