The Blackhawks acquired veteran center Peter Holland from the Rangers in exchange for AHL defenseman Darren Raddysh on Monday night.
Holland, 28, has scored 20 goals and 49 points for the Rangers’ AHL team in Hartford. The 6-foot-2, 193-pound center tallied one goal and four points in 23 NHL games last season for the Rangers after being traded from Montreal. He will report to the Blackhawks’ AHL affiliate in Rockford.
Holland has scored 36 goals and 85 points in 266 NHL games with Anaheim, Toronto, Arizona and the Rangers. He was drafted with the No. 15 overall pick in the 2009 NHL draft by Anaheim.
Raddysh, who will turn 23 at the end of this month, was a top-five scorer for the IceHogs with eight goals and 26 points this season. Last season during his first AHL campaign, the right-handed blue liner had 22 points (five goals, 17 assists) in 66 games.
The Blackhawks signed him as an undrafted free agent in June 2017 after he set career-highs with 16 goals and 65 assists in 62 games for the Erie Otters and was named the OHL defenseman of the year.
