The Rockford IceHogs (Blackhawks) scored five goals, and Collin Delia made 30 saves to hold off the Texas Stars for a 5-4 win Friday at H-E-B Center in Cedar Park, Texas.
Alexandre Fortin had a goal and an assist, and Nicolas Beaudin and Dennis Gilbert each had two assists for Rockford (28-28-1-2), which swept a two-game set at Texas (23-26-2-4). The IceHogs won the first game 3-2 in a shootout Wednesday.
Reece Scarlett and Rhett Gardner each had a goal and an assist for the Stars. Landon Bow allowed four goals on 10 shots, and Jake Oettinger made 22 saves on 23 shots in relief.
Philipp Kurashev fired a one-timer from the high slot off the post for a 1-0 Rockford lead at 6:25. It was Kurashev’s first goal in his second game back after missing 25 games with an injury.
Garrett Mitchell made it 2-0 at 11:14 from the slot when he put a shot through Bow’s five-hole.
Scarlett fired a shot from the right point past a screened Delia to cut the deficit to 2-1 at 12:16.
Joni Tuulola’s shot from the top of the right face-off circle redirected off Tyler Sikura’s stick and into the net for a 3-1 lead at 5:56 of the second period. Fortin extended Rockford’s lead to 4-1 at 9:55 when he scored on a breakaway off Gagne’s stretch pass.
Anton Wedin scooped up a rebound, circled below the net then sent a pass to the lower right circle to Hagel, who snapped it into an open net to make it 5-1 at 7:58 of the third period.
Anthony Louis, a former IceHog, started Texas’ three-goal run in a nine-minute span at 8:43 to make it 5-2. Gardner scored a shorthanded goal at 10:47, and Joel L’Esperance scored a power-play goal at 17:43 for the 5-4 final.
Notes
The IceHogs went 0-for-5 on the power play for a second straight game, and are 0-for-23 in their past six games. … It was Beaudin’s first career multipoint game, and Gilbert’s second in 12 games in February.

The IceHogs will wrap up their three-game Texas road trip against the San Antonio Rampage at 3 p.m. Sunday at AT&T Center.
