The Chicago Blackhawks turned to Scott Darling a fair amount last season. Not just in the regular season, though, but he really helped the team make it past the first round of the playoffs – a pretty crucial step towards winning the Cup.
That alone is pretty awesome. For someone who looked like a career minor leaguer to make the NHL and have that level of impact is impressive.
But even more awesome? The fact that Darling is from Chicago (well, Lemont). To help the team you grew up cheering for win a Stanley Cup – that’s special.
So special, it was recognized by having a street named after him – and now, via Darling’s sister, we can see that street (or drive, if we want to get technical) is officially a thing.
