Both of these teams are familiar with playing in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final in a series tied. In 2010, the Hawks returned home after dropping two straight in Philadelphia and beat up on the Flyers 7-4. We all remember how that series ended just three nights later. In 2011, the Bruins returned to Vancouver after winning two in a row at home, but lost to the Canucks 1-0. They would go on to outscore Vancouver 9-2 in the next two games to make most of the hockey world grateful that the team that was so easy to hate did not win the Cup. Winning tonight's game does not guarantee a championship but it does make it a hell of a lot easier. I expect a much tighter and lower scoring game from what we saw Wednesday night in Boston. Coach Q wants to see the Hawks come out and play just like they did a week ago in Game 2, except this time, sustain the quality of play for 60 minutes. The Bruins power play all of sudden is giving the Hawks penalty kill unit some trouble. They scored two power play goals on Wednesday and have four total for the series. 3 of the 4 goals, in this series, for Patrice Bergeron have come with the man advantage. Special teams will be a huge key to success for both teams tonight. Both goalies are coming off their worst performances of the post season and I expect them to both be much better tonight. If the Hawks can get traffic in front of the net and "get dirty" they should be just fine tonight. Going to be a fun one, get your antacid and alcoholic beverages of choice ready, we are going to need it!
