Stanley Cup Playoffs Discussion Thread: May 8-9

The Stanley Cup Playoffs continue on Wednesday night, starting out again out east where the Boston Bruins pulled off a Game 1 stunner over the Florida Panthers and look to head back home with a 2-0 series lead pending the results of Game 2 on Wednesday night. The nightcap sees the opening game in the second-round series between the Edmonton Oilers and Vancouver Canucks.

For Thursday night, the New York Rangers own a 2-0 series lead and will look to push the Carolina Hurricanes to the brink of elimination in Raleigh, while the Colorado Avalanche own a 1-0 series lead over the Dallas Stars after Miles Wood’s overtime heroics in Game 1.
