Stanley Cup Playoffs Game Thread, 4/20 (Bro)

Scroll down to the comments to discuss Thursday’s night of the Stanley Cup Playoffs!

Here’s the slate of games for this evening (all times CT):

Eastern Conference

Tampa Bay Lightning at Toronto Maple Leafs, 6 p.m. (ESPN)

Every b-hole East of Mississauga will be clenched (if they aren’t already) in the hope that the Leafs can push back to even the series after Tampa’s dominant performance in game one.

New York Rangers at New Jersey Devils, 6:30 p.m. (TBS)

The Devils looked hesitant to open game one and the Rangers’ wealth of playoff experience made them pay. New Jersey needs to come out firing and not let NYR goalie Igor Shesterkin settle in.

Western Conference

Seattle Kraken at Colorado Avalanche, 8:30 p.m. (ESPN)

Of course immediately after I wrote about how terrible Seattle’s goaltending has been Philip Grubauer came out and stole game one from the Avalanche. Let’s see if Colorado is able to make any adjustments, or if he’s able to do it again and send Seattle back home up two games to none.

Winnipeg Jets at Vegas Golden Knights, 9 p.m. (TBS)

The story of the first round so far has been the road team upset and Winnipeg thoroughly took it to Vegas in game one. The Golden Knights only mustered 16 shots against Jets’ goalie Connor Hellebuyck on Tuesday, recently returning Knights’ forward Mark Stone needs to shake off his rust and help them up the pressure tonight.
