Stanley Cup Playoffs Game Thread, 5/9

Let’s watch some playoff hockey!

Here’s the slate for the next few days (all times CT):

Eastern Conference

Carolina Hurricanes at New Jersey Devils, 6 p.m. (ESPN)

Do the Devils have the Hurricanes right where they want them? Looking lost in the first two games of the series before taking over worked well against the Rangers, but let’s see how the Hurricanes respond tonight. Antti Raanta is expected to miss this game for Carolina with an illness. Carolina leads the series 2-1.

Western Conference

Dallas Stars at Seattle Kraken, 8:30 p.m. (ESPN)

It’s been a back-and-forth series so far, but the Kraken are coming off a convincing 7-2 win on Sunday and will be looking to continue that momentum. Jake Oettinger continues to have a subpar postseason, one of the biggest surprises in the Western Conference. And Dallas may be without Miro Heiskanen – he’ll be a game-time decision. Seattle leads the series 2-1.
