World Juniors 2019: Dec. 30 schedule, TV, game thread

Swiss center Philipp Kurashev (2018 fourth-rounder) will be the lone Blackhawks prospect playing Sunday at the World Junior Championship in British Columbia.

Kurashev and Switzerland will play Russia in Group A action. The 6-foot, 192-pounder is coming off a hat trick performance against Denmark on Saturday night. He has five goals and an assist in three tournament games.

The second game will be Kazakhstan against Slovakia. Both teams sit at the bottom of the Group B standings without a win. Slovakia has scored at least a goal in its three losses, while Kazakhstan posted two goals in an 8-2 loss to the United States after a 5-0 opening game loss to Finland.

Games will air on NHL Network in the United States and TSN in Canada.

Dec. 30

Switzerland vs. Russia, 7 p.m.

Kazakhstan vs. Slovakia, 9:30 p.m.
