2018 Stanley Cup playoffs: May 14 open thread

The Winnipeg Jets look to go up 2-0 in the Western Conference Final series Monday at Bell MTS Place.

The Jets took Game 1 against the expansion Vegas Golden Knights 4-2 on Saturday, just two days removed from defeating the Presidents’ Trophy winning Nashville Predators in a Game 7 on the road.

Mark Scheifele continued his playoff tear with a power-play goal and an assist to increase his postseason point total to 18, including his 12 goals which lead all skaters.

Golden Knights goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 22 of 26 shots in the loss. He has four shutouts this postseason, including one in each of the opening games in Vegas’ previous series against Los Angeles and San Jose.

Saturday’s Game 1 loss was the first series opener loss in Vegas history. The Golden Knights are 1-1 in Game 2s, with their loss a 4-3 double overtime defeat to the Sharks at home.
