NHL releases black, white 2019 NHL All-Star Game jerseys

The NHL unveiled black and white-themed jerseys Wednesday that will be worn for the NHL All-Star Game on Jan. 26 at SAP Center in San Jose, California.

The jerseys feature team logos, which is a change from the past when the NHL shield was used.

Prior to the announcement, Adidas already had put the jerseys up on their website to purchase.

Patrick Kane is the lone Blackhawks representative set to play in the All-Star Game. He’ll be making his eighth appearance, which is the most among players participating in this year’s event.

Jonathan Toews is in the “Last Men In” fan vote, and Alex DeBrincat could step in as an injury replacement.

The skills competition will be at 8 p.m. Central time Jan. 25 followed by the All-Star game at 7 p.m. the next day. The skills competition will be broadcasted on NBC Sports Network, while the All-Star game will air on NBC.

The All-Star Game will be a three-game tournament, played in a 3-on-3 format, featuring teams representing each NHL division.
