After almost a week after the Stanley Cup Final matchup was set, the Blues and Bruins will officially begin the series Monday at TD Garden in Boston.
The Bruins had 11 days between games after sweeping the Hurricanes in the Eastern Conference Final, while the Blues are six days removed from ousting the Sharks in six games to become Western Conference champions.
It’s St. Louis’ first Cup Final appearance since 1970 when they were swept by the Bruins. In fact, the Blues are 0-12 in Cup Final games. Boston, meanwhile, is tied with the Blackhawks for the fourth most championships at six. The Bruins are 6-13 in the Cup Final, with their last appearance coming in 2013 when they fell in six games to Chicago after allowing two goals in 17 seconds. Monday night’s game will be the first Cup Final game in Boston since that night.
