2019 Stanley Cup playoffs: May 6 open thread

There will be two Game 6s on the sixth day in May.

The Bruins look to close out the Blue Jackets with a win at Nationwide Arena in Columbus and advance to the Eastern Conference Final for the first time since 2013. It’s the first time Boston has led a series in this year’s playoffs.

Blue Jackets: Adam Clendening, Ryan Dzingel (Wheaton), Artemi Panarin

Bruins: John Moore (Winnetka/Steel alum), Joakim Nordstrom

The Sharks are aiming for their first Western Conference Final appearance since 2016. Tomas Hertl scored two goals to lead San Jose to a 2-1 win over the Avalanche for a 3-2 series lead Saturday. Logan Couture is tied with the Avalanche’s Nathan MacKinnon and Mikko Rantanen and Boston’s Brad Marchand for the playoff lead in points at 13. Couture has the leg up in the goal department with nine.
