Blackhawks’ Philipp Kurashev scores hat trick for Switzerland against Denmark at World Juniors

Blackhawks prospect Philipp Kurashev scored a hat trick to lead Switzerland to a 4-0 win against Denmark on Saturday at the World Junior Championship.

Kurashev, a 2018 fourth-round draft pick by Chicago, gave the Swiss a 1-0 lead with a one-timer from the right face-off circle.

Kurashev tallied his second goal with a wrist shot from the slot on the power play.

Kurashev completed the hat trick less than two minutes into the third period.

It’s the second game of the tournament Kurashev has scored at least two goals. He had two power-play goals in Switzerland’s 3-2 loss to Canada on Thursday. He has five goals and a secondary assist in three tournament games at World Juniors.
