Blackhawks prospect Adam Boqvist scored with 1:10 left in overtime to lift Sweden to a 5-4 overtime win over the United States on Saturday at the World Junior Championship.
Boqvist’s game-winner helped Sweden keep its preliminary round victory streak alive after giving up a 4-0 lead in the final 10:26 of the third period, including a hat trick to Canadiens prospect Ryan Poehling.

Boqvist nearly ended the game at the 3:55 mark in overtime on a breakaway chance, but was denied by Bruins prospect Kyle Keyser for the Americans (2-0-1-0).

Boqvist had three shots on goal, including the game-winner, in 19:50 of ice time. Fellow Blackhawks prospect Evan Barratt had two shots on goal in 16:20 while centering the second line for the U.S.
The Americans were missing star forward Jack Hughes, who is projected to be the No. 1 prospect in the 2019 NHL draft, for the second straight game with an undisclosed injury.
Filip Westerlund (Coyotes), Rickard Hugg, Emil Bemstrom (Blue Jackets) and Erik Brannstrom (Golden Knights) scored for Sweden (2-1-0-0) during regulation.
Sweden can clinch first place in Group B with a win over Kazakhstan on Monday. The Americans face Finland the same day.
