We’re going for it.
The Blackhawks will be selecting Connor Bedard No. 1 overall at next week’s NHL Draft but, in even bigger news, Second City Hockey is going to have a little get-together for the occasion.
The location is Side Street Saloon at 1456 W. George Street in Lake View. They have good beer. They have excellent pizza, among other food options. The most important thing to know is that it’s a cash only bar.
The NHL Draft starts at 6 p.m. on Wednesday night, and we’ll by set up by then in the back room of the bar with TVs on and the sound turned up so we can all be there for the big reveal of that No. 1 pick, along with whatever happens to that No. 19 pick Chicago also has. And then we’ll hang around ’til everyone decides it’s time to go home – or last call, whichever comes first.
