Five Chicago Blackhawks have been named as the first six NHL All-Stars.
Blackhawks forwards Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews, defensemen Duncan Keith and Brent Seabrook, and goaltender Corey Crawford will join Buffalo Sabres forward Zemgus Girgensons, who earned the most votes (1,574,896) at NHL All-Star Weekend, Jan. 24-25 at Nationwide Arena in Columbus.
The 2015 All-Star fan vote closed at 11:59 p.m. ET on Jan. 1, with the top six vote-getters by position being named the first six all-stars.
The remaining All-Star roster will be determined by the NHL and announced Saturday, Jan. 10.
Kane will play in his fourth All-Star Game, he leads the team in goals (18), assists (23) and points (41). He was the second among vote-getters with 1,232,201.
It will be the third All-Star game for Toews, who has 13 goals and 32 points in 38 games. He’s won an impressive 56.3 percent of his faceoffs as well. Toews was third with 1,217,210 votes.
For Keith it will be his third All-Star appearance as well. He has 24 points in 37 games and ranked fourth with 1,198,173 votes. Keith’s linemate, Seabrook will make his All-Star debut. Seabrook has seven goals in 38 games. He logged 1,016,992 votes, second amongest blue liners.
Crawford will also make his All-Star debut. In 23 games, he’s 14-7-2 with a 2.13 goals-against average and .921 save percentage. He led all goalies with 1,099,504 votes.
