Here is the weekly look at how some of the Chicago Blackhawks‘ prospects are performing around the globe, starting with the minor league affiliates.
Rockford
The IceHogs (21-12-4-1) dropped two games to the Milwaukee Admirals (Predators) this week, a 4-2 in Milwaukee on Thursday and 1-0 in overtime at home the next night.
Phillip Danault opened the scoring with a power play goal and T.J. Brennan added another off a feed from Ville Pokka and Matt Carey. The Admirals then scored four unanswered goals, including three in the second period for the win.
Scott Darling made 19 saves on Thursday and Michael Leighton stopped 34 shots the next night.
Indy
The Fuel (7-21-3-3) went 1-2-0 this week. They opened the week with back-to-back losses to the Cincinnati Cyclones on Friday, 4-1 and to the Toledo Walleye, 4-2 before picking up their first road win in franchise history against the Wheeling Nailers, 3-0 on Sunday.
Nicklas Lindberg scored the lone Fuel goal off a feed from Robert Czarnik in his debut. Shane Owen stopped 22 of 25 shots in the loss.
Garett Bembridge registered a goal and an assist in the loss to Toledo. Mike Duco had the other goal, while Nick Bruneteau also had an assist. Mac Carruth stopped 20 of 23 shots in net.
Rhetty Bly scored off feeds from Matt White and Dean Chelios before Pete Massar potted a goal from Sam Posa and Evan Vossen. Kirill Gotovets added a wrister. Owen rebounded from his previous outing with a 28-save shutout for the win.
The Fuel also made a flurry of roster moves this week, acquiring forwards Jonathan Parker and Lindberg, and defenseman Ildar Telyakov. Indy forward Klarc Wilson and goaltender Cody Reichard were traded to the Stockton Thunder in exchange for Owen. The final move was sending forward Patrick Cullen to the Rapid City Rush in exchange for forward Kyle Stroh and Evan Vossen was acquired from the Missouri Mavericks for future considerations.
NCAA, USHL, and others
Nick Schmaltz (F), North Dakota (NCAA) – Schmaltz had an assist in North Dakota’s 5-2 win over Minnesota-Duluth on Saturday. He went a perfect 3-0 in the face-off circle and had three shots on net over two games against the Bulldogs.
Tyler Motte (F), Michigan (NCAA) – Motte had four assists, two in each game, against No. 9 Minnesota this weekend. He also had five blocked shots and two shots on net.
John Hayden (F), Yale (NCAA) – Hayden had two shots on net in the Bulldogs’ 4-1 win over Harvard at Madison Square Garden on Saturday.
Anthony Louis (F), Miami (NCAA) – Louis had an assist and two shots in the No. 5 RedHawks 3-2 loss to St. Cloud State on Saturday. He also had two shots and went 0-2 on face-offs the previous night.
Michael Paliotta (D), Vermont (NCAA) – Paliotta had a shot on goal in a 4-1 win over Dartmouth on Saturday. He has 18 points this season (5G, 13A).
Vince Hinostroza (F), Notre Dame (NCAA) – Hinostroza registered a goal and an assist in a 4-3 loss to Western Michigan on Saturday. He also had an assist the previous night. He went 9-19 on face-offs over the two games.
Fredrik Olofsson (F), Chicago Steel (USHL) – Olofsson also registered a goal and an assist in a 7-3 loss to Sioux City on Sunday. He also had a goal in a 6-2 loss to Team USA U-17 team the previous night. He has 26 points this season.
Matheson Iacopelli (F), Muskegon Lumberjacks (USHL) – Iacopelli had an assist in Muskegon’s 5-4 shootout loss to the Madison Capitols on Friday. He has 19 points (13G, 6A) in 25 games this season.
Ivan Nalimov (G), Admiral Vladivostok (KHL) – Nalimov allowed three goals in a 6-3 win over Ugra. He has a 3.00 goals against average and .892 save percentage in 21 games this season.
Carl Dahlstrom (D), Linkoping (SHL) – Dahlstrom scored a goal over three games this week. He has two goals and two assists in 37 games this season.
Robin Press (D), Södertälje (Allsvenskan) – Press scored a goal over two games this week. He has 11 goals and 16 assists in 39 games this season.
