Here is the weekly look at how some of the Chicago Blackhawks‘ prospects are performing around the globe, starting with the minor league affiliates.
Rockford
The IceHogs (18-9-3-1) started the week with a 5-1 loss against the Iowa Wild on Tuesday, before dropping two games in Oklahoma City (Oilers) 3-2 in overtime and 3-1 over the weekend.
Matt Carney scored the opening goal and was assisted by Kyle Cumiskey and Mark McNeill. The Wild went to two score five unanswered goals, including three in the second period.
Teuvo Teravainen would get the IceHogs on the board on the power-play and Pierre-Cedric Labrie added another on the man advantage for a 2-1 lead, but the Barons tied it and eventually won in overtime on a power-play goal.
McNeill and T.J. Brennan assisted Teravainen’s goal and Ville Pokka and Drew LeBlanc on the Labrie’s.
Brandon Mashinter scored the lone goal in the 3-1 defeat. Dennis Rasmussen and Cody Bass had the helpers.
NCAA, USHL, and others
All NCAA prospects are on Christmas break.
Fredrik Olofsson (F), Chicago Steel (USHL) – Olofsson scored a power-play goal and added an assist in a 5-4 loss to the Muskegon Lumberjacks. He has a career-high 23 points this season.
Matheson Iacopelli (F), Muskegon Lumberjacks (USHL) – Iacopelli did not register a point this week. He has 18 points (13G, 5A) in 22 games this season.
Ivan Nalimov (G), Admiral Vladivostok (KHL) – Nalimov did not play this week and has a 2.97 GAA and .895 SA over 19 games this season.
Carl Dahlstrom (D), Linkoping (SHL) – Dahlstrom did not play this week and has a goal and assist with a -9 rating in 30 outings this season.
Robin Press (D), Södertälje (Allsvenskan) – Press had an assist in one game this week. He has 10 goals and 16 assists in 34 games this season.
