Blackhawks vs. Oilers preview: Preseason continues in Saskatoon

The Chicago Blackhawks head up north Sunday evening to play the Edmonton Oilers in their fourth preseason contest. The game has an early start time of 5 p.m. CT, and won’t be broadcast on television. Luckily, the team is offering up a live stream of the game online, so we’re not missing out like we did with the Detroit game earlier this week.

When and where? The game starts at 5 p.m. CT from Credit Union Centre in Saskatoon.

How to watch online: Just head over to this link right here and you should be good to go.

It seems like everyone is distracted by the big Bears-Packers game this afternoon, but luckily there’s no overlap as that game starts at noon. While the preseason hasn’t exactly been a rousing success of never-ending fun for the Blackhawks so far, there are some reasons to tune in for Sunday’s game.

The biggest, of course, is that several players will take the ice for the first time this season. Teuvo Teravainen, Joakim Nordstrom and Kris Versteeg are all expected to play against the Oilers after missing the first three games, and I think it’s fair to say that everyone is interested in seeing how these guys (mainly Teuvo) look.

We still don’t know how the lineup is going shake out tonight, but it should look different with those guys in it. Hopefully we can get a win this time around.
