Bragging Rights On The Line – SCH All Star Fantasy Game Results

If Hack ended up watching the All-Star Game.. that would make one of the four of us that actually watched last night’s festivities.  So don’t expect this is not going to be a recap of the actual game in any way.  Who would want to try and break down a 21 goal game anyway?

No no… there are far more pressing issues – namely, which of our All Star mock teams won? The Sam Kills or the Matt Hacks? Well while the actual game was a close one goal affair, ours was not. I am quite proud to say that Team Sam Kills took home not only the game MVP by snagging Patrick Sharp before McClure could get his hands on him (just like in his dreams) but we also walked out with a 13-7 victory.

Just like the actual game… there weren’t any standout stars.  instead, Team Sam Kills won with death by a thousand cuts with four skaters registering two goal games (E. Staal, Letang, Eriksson and Briere) compared to Matt Hacks one (Kopitar).  What’s that you say?  Counting only goals isn’t fair?  Well who the hell asked you?  Sam Kills also won the overall point total with 28 against Matt Hacks 25.

It wasn’t a total blowout though – the Matt Hacks won the goalie battle with a .794 Sv% to our .753.  They also won the +/- race thanks to snagging both Lidstrom and Weber who were a combined +13.

In the end… I think it was Matt Hacks foolish decision to draft 7 defensemen that did them in.  Full box score after the jump.

UPDATE:  Expect us to be talking about this a lot – but we want to remind all of you about the Chicago Pucks Cancer event we’ll be co-hosting on Feb. 12th at our good ol’ haunt – The Bottom Lounge.  We’ll be watching the Hawks take on the Yotes.. raffling off memorabilia and as always there will be plenty of food and drink to go around.  Check out the facebook page here.  We always want to see you at our road watches so we can share a few rounds but this one is extra important as we will be helping to raise money for the Young Survival Coalition, the only organization that advocates for young women with or have survived breast cancer.  It’ll be a good time… promise
