Watch: Blackhawks’ Alex DeBrincat scores hat trick vs. Senators

It took 60 games this season for Blackhawks winger Alex DeBrincat score a hat trick in his second NHL season.

DeBrincat scored two first-period goals before completing the hat trick in the second period against the Senators on Monday night at the United Center.

With the Blackhawks down 2-0, DeBrincat tied the game with two goals in 1:16. The first came on the power play off a feed from Jonathan Toews and the next a tap-in goal from Dominik Kahun.

DeBrincat capped his hat trick on a great dish from Strome at 8:19 in the second.

DeBrincat’s first hat trick was Nov. 27, 2017, against Anaheim then Jan. 25, 2018, at Detroit in his home state of Michigan before breaking the record March 18, 2018, against St. Louis.
