The Blackhawks will begin their quest to return to the playoffs after a two-year absence on the road against the Flyers on Oct. 4 in Prague, Czech Republic, to open their 2019-20 regular-season.
After their season opener, the Blackhawks travel back to the United States to face the Sharks on Oct. 10 in their home opener. Chicago is 5-2-1 in home openers this decade, including a 1-2-1 record in their last four.
The Blackhawks’ longest homestand of the season will be its first with seven straight games from Oct. 10-24. They’ll have 14 back-to-back sets, and their bye week comes at the end of January.
The schedule is highlighted by former Blackhawks head coach Joel Quenneville’s return to the United Center with his new team, the Panthers, on Jan. 21. It’s the final game of the first half of the season for Chicago.
The seven-team Central Division will play 26 divisional games. Chicago will play three games each against all eight Pacific Division teams.
The remaining 32 games on the Hawks’ 82-game schedule will be made up of a home-and-home series against each of the 16 teams in the Eastern Conference.
All non-nationally televised Blackhawks’ games will be broadcasted on NBC Sports Chicago. Broadcast information will be released at a later date.
