Blackhawks Bits: Toews, Borgström in COVID Protocol

Tuesday morning, the Blackhawks announced that forwards Jonathan Toews and Henrik Borgström has been placed in COVID-19 Protocols, which means that they will be unable to travel, practice or play games until they have cleared those protocols.

Forwards Patrick Kane and Jujhar Khaira, defenseman Riley Stillman, and assistant coaches Marc Crawford, Tomas Mitell, and Jimmy Waite are also all still in COVID-Protocol.

At practice, Caleb Jones and Wyatt Kalynuk were back on the ice skating for the first time since they were both injured during training camp.

The Blackhawks will be holding a press conference on the findings of the Jenner & Black investigation at 1 p.m. Tuesday. Blackhawks owner Rocky Wirtz and CEO Danny Wirtz are expected to speak along with Reid Schar, who headed the investigation.

The Blackhawks face the Toronto Maple Leafs at the United Center on Wednesday at 6:30 pm.
