Patrick Kane got his 1,000th NHL point for the Blackhawks on Sunday against the Jets at the United Center in Chicago.
Kane passed from behind the Winnipeg net to Ryan Carpenter in the bottom of the right face-off circle, and he passed across the goal mouth to Brandon Saad for a tap-in that made it 4-1 Chicago at 14:14 of the third period.
Kane (31 years, 61 days) is the youngest United States-born player to reach the milestone, ahead of Jeremy Roenick (32 years, 13 days). The right wing has 380 goals and 620 assists in 953 games in 13 seasons, all with the Blackhawks.

Kane is the fourth player score 1,000 points for the Blackhawks, joining Denis Savard (1,096), Bobby Hull (1,153) and Stan Mikita (1,467). Both Michel Goulet and Marian Hossa played for other teams prior to reaching the milestone with the Blackhawks.
Kane, a three-time Stanley Cup champion (2010, ’13, ’15), also won the Hart and Art Ross Trophies when he had 106 points (46 goals, 60 assists) in 2015-16, and had an NHL career-high 110 points (44 goals, 66 assists) in 2018-19.
There are seven active players with 1,000 career points: San Jose’s Joe Thornton and Patrick Marleau, Washington’s Alex Ovechkin, Pittsburgh’s Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin, Minnesota’s Eric Staal and Kane.
