The Chicago Blackhawks will host a public visitation for legend Stan Mikita from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday inside the United Center Atrium, the team announced Wednesday.
Mikita, the franchise’s all-time leading scorer, died Tuesday. He was 78.
Mikita played for 22 seasons with Chicago, from 1958 to 1980, and was a member of the 1961 Stanley Cup championship team. He also was an eight-time All-Star, two-time Hart Trophy winner as league MVP and member of the 1983 Hockey Hall of Fame class.

According to the team, the public can park in Lot C, which is located north of the United Center between Madison Street and Warren Boulevard. Fans will be directed to enter the building at the east entrance of the atrium and exit at the north or south doors.
In lieu of flowers, the Mikita family requests donations be made to the following organizations:
- Illinois Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association
- The Wounded Warrior Project
- The American Hearing Impaired Hockey Association
