First time visiting the new Second City Hockey? Start here!

Hello from the other side!

Second City Hockey is back up and running at what we expect to be the long-term destination for everything we do around these parts. We thank you for your patience while we handled all of this, as we wanted to get all of our major renovations out of the way while the news remains all quiet on the West Madison front.

This new and improved version of Second City Hockey will allow everyone a more personalized experience at the site. If this is your first time visiting our new digs, then one small step is all you need to get started. The screenshots below will point you in the proper direction.

See that option to “sign up” in the top-right corner? We added the arrow for dramatic effect.

Click that, and the following page should appear:

From there, it’s based on whether or not you’ve had an account at the Second City Hockey website before.
If you had a subscription with Second City Hockey (paid or not),

  • Click the “send me the login link” and follow the steps from there
  • Or click “Lost your password?” and follow the steps from there

If you were a paid subscriber to Second City Hockey, your account has been transferred under the email address you originally used to sign up at the website.

If you did not subscribe to Second City Hockey but wish to do so now, then:

  • Enter your email and desired user handle
  • Wait for confirmation email to set your new account and password

Once logged in, check out the “My Account” section of the website, which will appear where “Log in” and “Sign Up” used to exist, to customize usernames and display avatars we hope will make this a little more fun for everyone involved.

The new comment system, which is only available to those registered at the site, brings back the famed “Z-key” functionality, which was at this site while we were under the SB Nation banner. That function will allow users to quickly navigate new comments on each page with ease.
