Former Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville’s house listed for $2.6 million

The house Joel Quenneville rented during his tenure as the Blackhawks head coach is up for sale.

The sprawling 6,430 square-foot house in Hinsdale was listed on the market for $2.6 million May 15. Built in 1983, the house has seven bedrooms, seven-and-a-half bathrooms, three fireplaces, hardwood floors and a library.

Quenneville rented the house during his tenure as the Blackhawks coach from 2008-18 before he was fired. The following offseason he reunited with former Blackhawks general manager Dale Tallon in Florida, where Quenneville led the Panthers to a 35-26-8 record in his first season as head coach before the NHL paused its season March 12 due to the coronavirus. Florida, the No. 11 seed in the Eastern Conference, will play the Islanders in a best-of-five qualifying round series at a to-be-determined location. The Blackhawks, the No. 12 seed in the West, will face the Oilers in a qualifying round series in another city.

Where Quenneville lived was no secret to Blackhawks fans as they threw toilet paper across the lawn after each Stanley Cup victory (2010, 2013, 2015) this past decade.

Portillo’s CEO Michael Osanloo and his family rented the home when Quenneville moved out.
