Yeah, I don’t get it either, but Ryan Rishaug of TSN is reporting it.
Obviously a depth move, and terms have not been released, so whatever. On the plus side, with Versteeg, Byfuglien, and Burish gone, this at least gives us a new outlet for our own special brand of puerile humor. Pisani is useful as a third or fourth line winger when he’s in the lineup- but that’s been the problem over the last few years. Dude grows a MEAN playoff beard, though, on a team already stacked with red beards.
How this affects Kyle Beach being on the opening night roster remains to be seen, as well as Marty Turco’s choice of number, as Pisani rocked 34 in Edmo.
EDIT: Rishaug follows up stating it’s one year and one-way, but no money out yet. I’ll shit my pants if it’s anything north of $600K.
