It’s a Second City Hockey Watch Party!

That’s right, folks: we’re getting together in person for a game: and you’re invited.

With the season winding down, now’s a great time for all of us to get together and toast to what we all certainly hope is the end of this particular chapter of Blackhawks hockey: specifically the “checking draft boards by Christmas since the playoffs aren’t happening” part of it.

The date for this event is Sunday, April 14 when the Blackhawks host the Carolina Hurricanes at the United Center for a 5 p.m. puck drop. We’ll be getting there around 4 p.m. to start off the evening’s proceedings.

The location for this is the taproom for Marz Community Brewing Co., located at 3630 S. Iron Street in Chicago, roughly a mile or two west of the White Sox stadium. They have an excellent beer selection and a kitchen operated by Taco Sublime. Some tables will be set aside for all of us to hang out and watch the game.

We have one request if you plan to attend: please let us know in the questions below so that we can give Marz a heads-up on how many people will be attending this little get-together.

Hopefully there are more fun reasons to get together in the near future. But we gotta start somewhere!
