Morning Bag Skate: 12 Blackhawks players named to World Cup of Hockey rosters

Chicago Blackhawks will be represented by 12 players at the World Cup of Hockey.

Those players are Corey Crawford, Jonathan Toews and Duncan Keith (Canada), Michal Kempny (Czech Republic), Marian Hossa (Europe), Ville Pokka and Teuvo Teravainen (Finland), Artem Anisimov and Artemi Panarin (Russia) and Patrick Kane (United States). Defenseman Christian Ehrhoff was also named to Europe’s roster, but he is a free agent and the Hawks are likely to let him walk this summer before the tournament begins.

Coach Joel Quenneville will serve as Mike Babcock’s assistant for Canada, and general manager Stan Bowman will serve as an assistant general manager for North America, a team compromised of players from Canada and the United States who are 23 years old or younger.
