Morning Bag Skate: 7-27-19

The second day of the Blackhawks Convention begins at 9 a.m. Saturday at Hilton Chicago.

Elsewhere in Chicago sports, the Sky’s Allie Quigley fell short of a three-peat in the WNBA 3-point contest, but Diamond DeShields won the Skills Challenge. After acquiring left-handed reliever Derek Holland from the Giants, the Cubs blew a 2-0 lead in a 3-2 loss to the Brewers. The White Sox allowed five runs in the second in a 6-2 home loss to the Twins.

On Saturday, the Fire host DC United. The Cubs continue their series against the Brewers. The White Sox host the Twins again. The WNBA All-Star Game (2 p.m. ABC) will have three Sky players as reserves with Courtney Vandersloot on Team Delle Donne, while DeShields and Quigley are on Team Wilson.
