Watch: Kris Versteeg performs 2010 Stanley Cup rally rap at Blackhawks Convention

Kris Versteeg is back in the Blackhawks organization after signing a one-year AHL deal with the Rockford IceHogs in April. Despite his reduced role in the organization, the two-time Stanley Cup winner took the mic during the opening ceremony of the Blackhawks Convention on Friday at Hilton Chicago.

Versteeg performed his “rap” from the 2010 Stanley Cup rally with a twist.

“Every time I dive in my pool it’s hard to be humble. Well I do a breaststroke through an underground tunnel and come up on the other side in a jacuzzi being greeted by my… wife, who is wearing my jersey.”

Here’s the two Stanley Cup raps from Versteeg.

Versteeg split last season between Avangard Omsk in the KHL and Växjo Lakers HC in the Swedish Hockey League. He had seven goals and 16 points between the two teams in 23 regular-season games then added four goals and six points in the SHL playoffs.

The 33-year-old Versteeg had two separate stints with the Blackhawks from 2007-10 and 2014-15. After being dealt in a multi-player trade in the summer of 2010, he played for Toronto, Philadelphia and Florida before he was re-acquired by Chicago in November 2013. He played the next two seasons with the Blackhawks and won a second Cup in 2015 then was traded again to Carolina, where he played before stops in Los Angeles and Calgary.
