Morning Bag Skate: Blackhawks drop home opener to Rangers

The Blackhawks opened their regular season with goals by Artemi Panarin and Teuvo Teravainen, but it wasn’t enough to overcome a three goal first period by the New York Rangers in a 3-2 loss Wednesday at the United Center.

Prior to the puck drop, the Hawks raised their sixth franchise Stanley Cup banner to the rafters. Now there’s some symmetry at the United Center.
