Morning Bag Skate: Vinnie Hinostroza to miss 2018 World Championship after sports hernia surgery

Chicago Blackhawks forward Vinnie Hinostroza won’t play next month’s World Championship in Denmark after undergoing a sports hernia surgery Wednesday.

There are currently four Hawks committed to playing at the tournament: Alex DeBrincat, Connor Murphy, Patrick Kane (all Team USA) and Tomas Jurco (Slovakia).

Playoff history was made Wednesday night as the Winnipeg Jets and Vegas Golden Knights picked up their first playoff wins in franchise history.
