Morning Bag Skate: 8-23-19

There was no news on the Blackhawks front Thursday.

Elsewhere in Chicago sports, the Sky clinched a playoff spot for the first time since 2016 by virtue of Dallas and Indiana losing. The Cubs extended their win streak to five games with a 1-0 shutout of the Giants. The White Sox powered past the Rangers 6-1.

On Friday, the Sky host the Mystics. The Cubs start a home series against the Nationals. The White Sox play against the Rangers again.
