Morning Bag Skate: 9-2-19

There was no news on the Blackhawks front Sunday.

Blackhawks prospect Ivan Nalimov and SKA St. Petersburg will open their KHL campaign against Metallurg Magnitogorsk at 9 a.m. Central on Monday.

Elsewhere in Chicago sports, six Sky players scored in double figures in the team’s 105-78 blowout of the Mercury. The Cubs were shut out 4-0 to the Brewers. The White Sox were swept by the Braves with a 5-3 loss. The Bears signed guard Cody Whitehair to a five-year extension worth $52.5 million.

On Monday, the Cubs start a series against the Mariners. The White Sox head to Cleveland  to play the Indians.
